Your footage
is your footage.

Your account. An email address and a password, stored as a salted hash. Which plan you are on and, if you pay, the identifiers Stripe gives us for your customer and your subscription. Not the card.

Your clips. The hand as you typed or pasted it, the beat sheet the engine wrote from it, the captions, the look, the title, and any presets you save. This is the editing work, and it stays with the account so you can recut a clip without doing the hand again.

Your footage. The video you upload, up to 1 GB a file, and the files we derive from it to do the job: a waveform, a strip of thumbnails, and what the overlay reader found. Plus the finished render and its poster frame.

Server logs. The web server and the app write ordinary logs, request paths, times, IP addresses and errors, to the box they run on. They rotate off on their own and nobody reads them unless something broke.

If you left an email before signing up, we keep that address and the handle you gave with it, so we can tell you when the thing you asked about exists. That is all it is used for.

Uploads are stored under your account and served back only to a request carrying your session. A signed out request for one gets a 401, and so does a request from another account. They are not public, not listed, and not used to train anything.

• Delete a clip and its footage, its derived files and its render are removed in the same request. Not on a nightly sweep, not after a grace period. Gone.
• An upload you never attached to a clip, because you dropped a file in and closed the tab, is picked up by housekeeping. It runs nightly and removes any unattached file that is at least an hour old. By the next morning it is gone.
• A render whose clip is gone is removed by the same sweep. The other way round, a clip whose file has vanished, is marked failed rather than deleted, because the edit is worth more than the tidy directory.
• Close your account and everything above goes with it, footage, renders, clips and the account row. Email us and it is done within a week; we are building the button.

The one thing that outlives a clip is the hand and the beat sheet, and only while you have an account. Nobody else can see them.

One cookie, called pf_session. It holds a random id that matches a row in our database, nothing about you in the cookie itself. It is marked HttpOnly and Secure, lasts thirty days, and is removed when you sign out. Without it the site does not know who you are, which is the entire point of it.

There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, no heat map, and no fonts fetched from anyone else. Fredoka is served from our own box. If you open the network tab you will see requests to us, and during checkout, to Stripe.

Three services, each for one job. None of them get anything they do not need for it.

• Stripe takes the payment. The card number, the receipt, the tax and the invoices all live with Stripe, under Stripe’s privacy policy. We hold the customer and subscription ids they hand back, and that is how your plan is switched on.
• Resend sends the six digit code when you sign up. It sees your email address and the message. It does not see your password, your clips or your footage.
• Freesound and the meme soundboard, when you search for a sound. The words you type in the search box are sent from our server to theirs. Your account, your email and your footage are not.

Everything else, the hand parser, the overlay reader, the engine and the encoder, runs on our own server. No footage is sent to any AI service, ours or anyone else’s.

One server, one database file, one directory of footage. We run it, we hold the keys, and the database is not shared with any other product. That is simple and it is also honest about what it is: one box. Keep your own copy of any clip you post. If that disk died, the render would go with it, and your account with it.

Everything in this section is a right in some places and a courtesy in others. We do not check which one applies to you.

• A copy of what we hold about you: the account, the hands, the beat sheets, and your footage as you uploaded it.
• A correction to anything in it.
• Deletion of all of it, on request, within a week.
• An explanation of any of the above in words that are not these.

This is a tool for cutting poker footage. You have to be at least eighteen to use it, and old enough to be watching poker where you live if that is older.

The date at the top moves when the words do. If a change means we keep more than we did, or share it with someone new, you get an email first, in plain language, before it takes effect. The terms and the refund policy sit next to this page and work the same way.
